He pulled through!!!

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Just a brief update: dad came out of the coma! He is still ill and still at the hospital, but we have hope. He still has to undergo a catheterism, but we hope it will go through without incident, but we still ask for your prayers, since anything could happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers and good wishes!!!

We took Connor to an ultrasound to Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva to check his kidneys. He had a little more fluids in there than what he should have since he was born, and we checked him at 6 and now 15 months to make sure that this little detail corrected itself. We are SO hoping that this time he will be given a clean bill of health, but the technician wouldn't tell us much. She did say that both kidneys look better than last time (Yeepee!!!), but didn't say simply "fine" just yet. I'm hoping that the specialist will use PERFECT to describe it, and we can just go on our merry way as usual. Of course, before they started with the ultrasound, I HAD to take pictures! Connor was NOT happy, and Brian was a little annoyed, but he obliged for TWO only. Hubbies!!! What do they know about anything??? Summer come soon!

The weather is actually pretty crazy around here. Saturday we had an awsome day, and then Sunday we were freezing, yet again. On Saturday Coco and I went to see Jake at his soccer game. Just too cute to see all these kids chasing the ball. Nicole tried to pay attention, but mostly she played with Leah, Jake's sister. On Sunday, we had to get Nicole ready for her ballet recital picture. So, I read the instructions, and I start panicking. she needs to have her hair in a low ballet bun . WHAT??? WHAAAAT? Aren't buns the ones that you eat with a hotdog, ketchup and mustard??? Darn! Here I go to the internet. The art of ballet buns , reads an article. WHAT? I don't have time to learn an art, I just need to get my daughter ready! I was really getting very antsy, since I cannot make a decent pony tail to save my life. What are we going to do??? Block party 08

I cannot believe the Block party came around so soon! We had a very nice time with new neighbors... These are Maddy's parents, Sean and Linda, and her big brother Steve. Maddy is Coco's BFF. They are always spending the night over, either here or their home. They are a nice family, we're really happy to have them as our new friends. And of course, the bike race... we really need to get Coco to use the bike without the back wheels. She was a little too big for the tricycle! We had our Republican Senator, Chris Lauzen, come and visit. He was so impressed to meet Cesar, he extended an invitation for him to come and visit him to the senate in Springfield. Cesar wants to organize other kids and families in the neighborhood to go as well... And of course, we had our local heros, the firemen. This fireman, Mike, told me my face was familiar, and I told him that one time, as I was pregnant with Connor, they had to come and get me from my bed, down the stairs and to the hospital in...
