Just a few observations about these days...

Image
I love to see the snow falling. I can sit and just watch it fall... isn't it pretty? This is Connor having breakfast. Yes, that is a CANDY CANE that he had for breakfast yesterday. Nope, his daddy didn't see this (Brian already says I am a softy... I'm NOT telling him!;) And Coco's breakfast? GARLIC BREAD!!! She's kind of weird. Well, what can I say? She's a Weirdan, after all! And this is Cesar, being as geeky as it gets... He got several gift cards, and what did he go and buy??? LEGOS! The best part, is that he was playing with them. Seriously. He had them fighting each other, and going at each other with their swords. Nope, Coco, Connor, Brian or I were not playing with him. All by himself. Geek. I found this paper that Coco did at school around Thanksgiving time. It's just the cutest thing. It reads: "How to cook a turkey from the kitchen of: Coco Ingredients: Turkey Corn Bred (sic) Flower (flour) Directions: Put them in a pot. Mix them together. B

Introducing Andrea (and Josecito)

Image
Let me start by telling you that I have 4 sisters, all younger than myself. And my sister Maria Luisa (the one right in the middle of us five) just checked my bloggeroo yesterday. She's the one who posted the comment in Spanish, and she was complaining (formally) that I don't have any pictures of HER daughter on my blog. And so, although not entirely true (She's in the family picture that I posted back in October when I came back from Mexico), I introduce to you my niece (and Goddaughter) Andrea. Isn't she such a beautiful thing? Her mom and dad are very proud of her. My beautiful niece is now 15 years old, and the sweetest thing in the whole wide world. She lives in Mexico with her parents, very close to my parents. The first time I ever saw her, it was through the window of the nursery at the hospital, and the nurse was bathing her. She was sound asleep when they started, and she never woke up. She went through the whole bath absolutely asleep, and she remained sleep

A New Class (maybe...)

Image
I'm trying to come up with a new class for my LSS, Scrapaddict . I've been wanting to make this exploding box that I saw on {glitter adventure} and now I will take it to the store and see if they pick it up... then, I'll see if somebody wants to take the class! I really loved making it, it was very easy and lots of fun!

Merry Christmas!

We had a very Merry Christmas. We hope you did, too! May the Lord bless you, always!

Finally two!

I really can't understand what is it with boys and cameras. Yesterday was Connor's birthday, and I could not take a good picture of him to save my life. We went to the store to buy his present (we didn't have a chance to get anything before!), and as soon as I would call his name, he'd turn his face away from me. Today, I tried to take a picture, and I chased him all over the house, but he'd hide UNDER THE BED! Papa was pointing out that he is now on the TERRIBLE TWOs, but I had to correct him, for Connor has been at that stage since about 3 months ago. Coco has been at that stage since 2003, and Cesar since 1996, so there's really not much difference amongst all three of my children... This is another thing I cannot understand about Coco and Connor: they do this Nope, they don't make ceramic figurines for nativity sets... Do you notice how these figurines are all lined up? Well, both Coco and Connor do this, all the time. They're ALWAYS lining up thing

Happy Almost Birthday, Connor!

Image
Tomorrow is Connor's birthday, but since Papa will be working, we had a little celebration with Noni and Papa today. Loved the candles noni brought, and we all helped Connor blow them. But I think Connor's favorite thing was the Elmo card that he got from Noni and Papa. Forget about the totally cool present Thomas the Tank Engine game for the WizKidz he got. All he wanted to do was hug his Elmo card. He was giggling and hugging it... really cute. Happy birthday, my dear baby boy!

Back home...

Dad was released from the hospital on Tuesday, and is now back home. He still needs to gain some weight, and will need to be very careful with the medications to keep his blood as anti-coagulated as possible. But we're all happy that he's doing better now. I am also back home with my family, getting ready for the holidays. It was awesome to come back home to the house all decorated by Brian and the kids. As Brian put it, Cesar was in charge of the kitchen and dinning room, Coco was in charge of the nativity and the ornaments she could reach, Brian was in charge of the living room and the rest of the tree. Connor was in charge of playing with the nativity set, the Christmas Village and the ornaments HE can reach. So far, we have two headless village kids, two armless shepards, and earless donkey, and all sorts of ornaments on the floor several times a day. I think he is the most successful of all (can you see his contribution to the village? Love his helicopter in the middle of

Dad is recovering!

Doctors decided yesterday to do the catheterism today and injected blood thinners directly into his artery all day long, since they had the inductor from Monday's catheterism still inside dad's leg. Today the operation was successful and they were able to remove the blood clot and clear the other artery as well. Dad asked me to extend his gratitude to you all for your prayers and get well wishes. We are all hoping that his recovery is fast and we can take him home soon. Thank you, with all our hearts. God listened to your prayers and we can't do anything but give thanks and praise His Holy name! Love you all! PS.- Sorry I haven't had a chance to visit blogs at all. Once I come back home (soon, I hope!) I'll be able to visit and thank you all for your support and your prayers. THANKS!!!!!

Not so good news today

Today dad went through a catheterism, but we didn´t have good news. The blood clot clogging his artery is now calcified, so they couldn´t unclog it. The bad news is that doctors may have to go for an open heart surgery, and he´s too weak now for such a thing. They will let us know tomorrow what is the best thing to do. Please keep your prayers going, so that God´s Will be done, and we have the strenght to accept it. Love you all

He pulled through!!!

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Just a brief update: dad came out of the coma! He is still ill and still at the hospital, but we have hope. He still has to undergo a catheterism, but we hope it will go through without incident, but we still ask for your prayers, since anything could happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers and good wishes!!!
