I'm sick like a Dog...

Image
Why is it that we say, sick like a dog? anyone? No clue here, but I am. Got a major cold, can't breath, chest hurts, head hurts, you know, the WORKS. But I wanted to post these pix of Coco and Cesar's first day of school. You see, when I posted the news that it would be the first day of school for my kids, that brought Noni that very day to visit. So, I'm hoping this post will have the SAME effect! In all honesty, I LOVE my in-laws. I have been blessed with an awesome husband, and I can also say that I have been also blessed with the awesome parents that raised him to be the man I so much love. When you meet Noni and Papa, you don't wonder why is Brian so fantastic. Both have a special place in my heart, and I TOTALLY love when they just show up at our front door, unexpected. Such a pleasant surprise! My in-laws have never, not ONCE done a thing to upset me, or have been rude or unkind to me. I am very ashamed to say that the times I've been pregnant, I've been

School is starting

Tomorrow! Summer went by sooo slow for me, working full time. I really, REALLY didn't like this. But now, I'm starting with my part time schedule. It was really bad to have to work all summer long, since there was no time for the kids and fun stuff, but I knew that I needed to give the guys in my office a break, they really needed me. although we can't really understand most of it. I love seeing him playing pick-a-boo and smiling all the time. Coco is so ready to go back to school, she's been reading up a storm. She's so into her big sister roll, protecting her brother, but also pestering him, as all big sisters should. She also is a master at pestering Cesar. And Cesar... growing pains, that's all I can say. He'sIn any event, these were the fun things about summer: Connor is starting to be a chatterbox, challenging everything he hears from me or Brian, but the truth is some of the things we say, DO stick. I don't get teenagers, but I'm pretty sure m

Finally done!

Last month (or maybe even June!) I saw the most amazing acrylic mini albums . I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with them. I just HAD to give those a try. So, I ordered one and started THINKING about it. I did my research and found this VERY useful class that tells the DOs and DON'Ts for this kind of album. I thought of working on this the day my friend Tracie came over to visit, but I only chatted away and didn't even touch my project (except to show Tracie the first page, which I had already done). Who wants to scrap when you haven't seen your good friend in AGES? I love this wonderful human beeing that Tracie is, so I had much more interest in chatting than scrappin. I have to say, Tracie pretended to work on swaps, but the truth is she barely finished 4 little journaling tags or something like that. But we did go to my favorite "hole in the wall" Mexican restaurant, and had DELICIOUS garlic shrimp. Then, we went to one of the new lss, which I love, ScrapAddict and

If you are a crafter of any sort...

Consider yourself TAGGED. This is your job: Post a picture of your crafting area as you are creating. I just want to know if everybody's space gets as messy as mine!!! I cleaned this are just Saturday. And I've been trying to work on this new mini scrapbook since yesterday, but the mess sometimes I think TOTALLY handicaps me (ok, maybe I'm just NOT very inspired, or this is a little more difficult than I expected). SO... go to your BLOG and tell me all about your CREATIVE MESS!!! Leave me a link, please!!!

A wedding (and a funeral of sorts)

Danny boy has been one of Brian's best friends since they were teenagers. And ever since I have known Brian, Dan became my friend instantly. I felt such a maternal instinct towards this big boy that would come and spend weekends with my family, playing all sorts of video games with Brian and Cesar, and just being a great company to us all. So, everytime he would come and tell us about his latest breakup with his girlfriend, we would tell him time and again that he could find someone so much better (don't we all tell this to our friends when we see them in a relationship we think is not good for them???) I just have never been able to understand these relationships where they breakup more than they are together. It's just insane. But of course, Dan would go back and they would get back together, and he would always tell this girl what our thoughts were. Then one year, my parents and my sister, who is still single, came for New Year's, and so did Danny (he always spent Ne

For some reason, I just cannot sleep lately. Pretty frustrating, but instead of laying in bed, I got out of bed at 4 and came to my scraproom to try and finish this challenge... I love challenges, they keep me thinking and scrappin'! Thanks ScrapDragon , for the inspiration! Now, to get ready for Uncle Danny's wedding... Uncle Danny is one of Brian's best friends, and I have come to love him dearly... He is the best and we wish him a great marriage!
