Now, the flu



So, what is next??? Last night, Brian gets home, and I am just soooo tired, I fall asleep almost immediately (I'd say I was asleep by 8!!!). Woke up a couple of times during the night, and boy, did my throat hurt or what! Wake up this morning (at 4:30, with Connor, of course), and the throat is killing me (aaarrrrggghhhh!!!!).

So, in spite of my deep and profound desire to lose some baby weight that seems to keep finding its way back to my rear end AND belly, I go to the freezer and take out some chocolate ice cream. I don't care who tells you what, there's nothing like a good tequila and a good ice cream to cure a nasty flu. And since I can't drink at 4:30 in the morning (or at any other time, really, because we do not usually drink, and therefore I do not have any tequila, only Baileys, the Irish cream that goes perfect with my Irish hubby), I can only have ice cream. And Ice cream I had, I think I ate the whole 1/2 gallon we had left. The throat, of course, stopped hurting for a good while, though not long enough for as much weight as i'll gain from that ice cream, if you ask me.

But then, about 11, HUGE headache, ear-ache, and all sorts of aches on my dear body... Good grief! I really, really feel sooo terrible, I think I'll have to NOT WORK for the rest of the week... How's that for an excuse?

Well, anyways, it seems like I'll be a whiney baby for a few more days, so I should steer clear from my blog... Man, my head really hurts! Do I look as bad as I feel??? (Now, this is only a rethorical question, no answer needed... I DO have mirrors, you know??? All of you believers of the truth out there need not respond!!!)

Gosh, I hope you feel better! Now you're not having the tequila WITH the ice cream are you? I have never tried that combination. :)
My dad had his own cure. Raw onion and raw potatoe sandwich. ICK! I think I would rather have the flu.

A few weeks ago, after work, I heard Brian scolding Cesar. About birds and TEA

Before I start my update... I just had to take a picture of Connor. He is such a BOY!!! I think boys are programmed to be goofy... If you have a boy, I'm sure you have found these kids of scenes, pretty much daily! Anyways, this Good Friday I participated in The Way of the Cross celebrated at 3 pm in front of the Planned Parenthood clinic we have in Aurora. I was so glad to see such a large group, it kept growing as the minutes went by. It was pretty cold, and as usual, I was not wearing a sweater or jacket, but it was well worth it. We prayed for the babies being killed, for their mothers and for the doctors and nurses that assist them. May God help them all. As I did this, Noni came to take the kids to decorate eggs. We did decorate some at home on Saturday, too, but Noni's were a lot more dramatic, especially the one with all those feathers! Coco and Connor found some presents from the Bunny on Sunday morning. Plank Jr. High

Last Thursday, Cesar had his Jr. High open house. It's a brand new school, so everybody was sooo excited to go to this new place. The original plan was for Brian to be here and take him, or for all of us to go, but Brian, of course, was sent to the Indiana office at the last minute, so he couldn't get here on time. And that left ONLY the option of mom taking him and his friend Aaron to the open house... With the two li'l ones in tow, mind ya! I was sooo aggravated, because I felt that Cesar was soooo embarrassed to walk around with Coco and Connor, and me. I had to bring myself back to his age, to try to understand that I, too, wanted my parents to leave me alone, but not VERY alone :) I just wanted to feel like a grown up, and my parents all the time around me made me feel so much like a kid.
